Why the name Gulmohar, you might ask. Is it because I like the flower too much, is it because I believe in its religious importance or is it my liking for the Sharmila Tagore starrer film by the same name. I would say none.

Gulmohar as Google would come out with would be described as Royal Poinciana.  It would describe it as strikingly beautiful flowering tree of the pea family (Fabaceae). It is native to Madagascar. But what relevance does it hold here.

But Gulmohar for me is as my spirit inside and out. To be honest, the name popped inside my head for no reason at all. But when I discovered it’s symbolism, I was truly amazed. If we break down the word Gul & Mohar, it would come to be Gul as Flower and Mohar or earlier it used to be called Mor as Peacock. So, yes it can also be called Peacock Flower. And Peacock is my spirit animal…So yeah it all makes sense. It was all destined. It had to be named Gulmohar. Tell me you don’t believe in destiny and I will up enough rebuttals to prove you wrong. But let me welcome you all on my journey and together we can decode the mysteries of life.
